Well we are officially under way at our Seasonal Site at the Granite Hill Campground for our 5th Year. We had our first trailer a year before we went seasonal so 6th Year as a family camping. Ty has been camping most of his life, he's 7 1/2.
Last weekend we built a 20x8 deck in front of our unit and did basic site maintenance. Ty and I went up this Thursday and finsihed up the maintenance, Melisa joined us Friday night after work for the Easter weekend.
Ty entered an easter egg decorating contest and won 1st place for his age group 6-8 year olds, did all the work himself. He then lost a tooth so the Tooth Fairy and Easter Bunny got into a slight tussle getting into the trailer to deliver their respective items. Not bad, one torn ferry wing and a few rabbit hairs to clean up. Ty then went on an Easter egg hunt on Easter with about 30 other kids hyped up to the max. He collected a lot of eggs. Upon return to our site the Easter Bunny (our awesome neighbors) had returned and hid eggs ALL over our site. I'd have to say he had a pretty good time.
Melisa made a nice beef roast in the crockpot with some fresh made white bread from the local farmer. Again another great meal...A nice cake to top off the deal.
Now back to reality and work/school...

Moving quickly into 2009
As you all know I've been working on my Masters Degree...I completed by first semester with an A in both classes. What a time consuming process. With my work experience I would not say its "hard", just freakin time consuming. I started my next semester last night with only one class due to some upcoming extended work hours that would make it to hard to do two at once.
Melisa has been working hard at work and and with Ty getting through first grade. The requirements they put on kids even at this age are much more than they use to. I feel sorry for those who dont have a dedicated parent at home to help.
Ty is doing well in school, 3rd quarter report card was more continued improvement. He still loves school. Scouts has been slow since the Blue and Gold Banguet but Ty has earned 5 more belt loops, he's up to 12 now in his first year of Scouts. Loves to work on getting them. I'm officially appointed the Pinewood Derby Guy for getting our Pack and a partner Pack a new joint use metal Derby Track. So far I've raised about $1,500 of the $2,500 needed.
Dogs (the girls) yeah well they are just happy Camping season has started back up so they can go for weeekly rides in the Truck.
Next post will be of our new site at the campground. Melisa and I built out new deck platform last weekend. Not bad given the level of talent to do such a thing between the the two of us. From now to November if you want to reach us call the cells cause we'll be in Gettysburg every possible weekend (last year we only missed 2).
